My Name is Thando Ngqoyi. I am 30 years old and was born and raised in Ncora. I did my Primary Schooling in Ncora, and my high school years in East London.
In 2009 I started my first job as a handy man and Plumber in Cape Town until my dad fell ill in 2011. Being the eldest son out of 5 children I had to come home and look after my dad and my younger brothers and sisters.
My ambition in life is to follow in my late father’s footsteps and to become a traditional healer. I would also like to become a successful VLP by helping fellow farmers with the growth and health of their animals. By being a VLP has also helped me with my own livestock and to become more involved with the community,
I have only qualified as a VLP in August 2016 and there is already a big difference in my life. Financially I am much better off. I also employed my younger brother as my Fieldworker.
I would like to thank all Sibanye and Mngcunube for this great opportunity to be able to work for myself and run my own business.
